Bodyclocks and Birdsong

This morning, being tired after the weekends activities (including a night clubbing @ Mass, Brixton on Friday, MT Biking etc) I was knackered. My eyes opened and I thought "I feel ok, I could just get up right now..." something wasnt right. After a few seconds I realised that the birds didnt sound right, They were quiet, too quiet. The mystery did not stretch on for long, as my eyes focused on the clock, and the hopeful 8:01 blurred into the truthful 10:07. I had overslept by 2 and a half hours. This is a record this year, which has seen me gradually taking the piss more and more.
My bodyclock had obviously run out of batteries and couldnt even wake me like it normally does. I feel good now though, and think that as a rule, people should be allowed to sleep when they need to, this way the world would be less stressed, more honest, and ultimately just... better.

May I have another Day?

Its the day after May Day and my legs require recharging. I could also do with a saddle of ice to sit on. Yesterday me and Tom (my part evil Twin) went to the New Forest near Brockenhurst and rented some bikes. We got them from a company called CountryLanes. The circuit we chose was 23 miles, and mostly off road, but also flat. With the wind picking up and some rain, it was quite tough, but still invigorating enough for me to want to buy a bike and return soon.

It's March (of the pigs)

Its March already... I actually planned on adding posts to my newly created blog quite regularly, but it didn't happen. I have refound the enthusiasm for it after reading my Brother Rob's blog. He has recently moved to San Fransisco from Reading (uk) and I like the observations. I am still near Reading and thought I would take over on all things 'Thames Valley'.

I have a sore neck - commonly known as a 'Bangover'. I went to the Nine Inch Nails gig in Brixton last week, which was awesome (check out my videos on www.youtube.com under Tonedefdom). It involved much moshing and HeadBanging. I went clubbing to Turnmills the following night and discovred the benifits of all your mates wearing Hats. You can spot a group of people wearing hats across a club even if its pitch black. Of course, the caveat to this is if you go to Hat Club (www.hat-club.com) and everyone is wearing hats. In a week time I am seeing Deftones at Brixton aswell, and I will re-injure my neck muscles. Jason Newsted claimed his departure from Metallica was partly due to wear of the cartilage in his neck - I will be sure to try and warm up before hand by being positive all day and nodding 'Yeeees' to everyone.

Welcome - Previously on this channel....

....in truth, I can't remember much. I realised this as I travelled up to Walsall in the the Midlands the other week to see my Grandpa Salt (my mum's Dad) in hospital. I hadn't been there for a good few years, and having only lived there at age 1, have never considered it my home as such, but for some reason I felt a strange nostaligia for the place. I started thinking about my childhood. Frustrated by my lack of ability to conjure memories, I asked my mum about myself, we went to see old houses, took a visit to the arboretum, where there used to be a big public, concrete, paddling pool, laughing kids and ice cream. This has of course been replaced with rubber padded swings on a ground made of sponge. Well, we can't have kids getting a scraped knee afterall!
On that day, I felt more connected to my past, you see, I had a trip down memory lane, occasionally stopping to look at the view to say "I dont remember it looking like that" or "Why is it there was no johnny's or dog shit in the park when I was a kid?".
